- Charge your D8 to at least 50% to prevent power loss during update.
- Turn off the speaker.
- Connect the Micro-USB port (not USB-C if present – D8 uses Micro-USB for data) to your PC.
- Run the updater software (as Administrator on Windows).
- Select the correct COM port (check Device Manager under "Ports" when speaker is connected).
- Load the firmware
.binfile in the tool. - Press and hold the Play/Pause button (or sometimes Volume+) while turning on the speaker to enter DFU mode (details vary – follow instructions from W-King).
- Click Start/Update in the software. Wait 2-3 minutes. Do not disconnect.
- When finished, close software, disconnect USB, and restart the speaker.
