"Swami Charitra Saramrut" is a sacred text written by Shri Bhausaheb Maharaj, a renowned saint and spiritual leader of the Datta-panth (Gurucharita tradition). The text is a compilation of the life and teachings of Shri Dattatreya Swami, a legendary spiritual master and the founder of the Datta-panth.

Shri Gurucharitra

While the is the foundational text of the Dattatreya tradition, the Swami Charitra Saramrut is specifically dedicated to the life and teachings of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj.

  1. The Scanned Vintage Copy: Many older print editions (published by Shri Swami Maharaj Sansthan, Akkalkot) were digitized in 2021. These retain the original Marathi typography and often include rare photos of Swami.
  2. The Unicode/Typed Version: Modern volunteers transcribed the 21 chapters into searchable PDFs using Unicode fonts in 2021. This version is lighter (smaller file size) and allows text highlighting.

You shall love the Lord you God with all your hear, with all your soul, and with all your strength (Deut. 6:5)

And you shall teach them diligently to your children (Deut. 6:7)
