Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2017

The settings.exe file is a critical utility for both and eFootball PES 2021

1. Locate the File: Go to your game installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Pro Evolution Soccer 2017).
2. Locate the Original: If you have a patch installed, the original settings.exe might have been renamed to settings_original.exe or similar. Look for the file with the PES icon, not the patch icon.
3. Run as Admin: Right-click the file and select Run as Administrator.
4. Adjust Resolution: Set your native resolution and window mode here. Some patches require you to do this before launching the main game executable via the selector.

I’ve tried running it as Administrator and in compatibility mode (Windows 7/8), but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this with the newer patches? Any advice on how to fix the settings executable would be greatly appreciated. Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2017 The settings

In both versions of the game, nearly all technical adjustments must be made through this external tool. Locate the File: Go to your game installation

1. Close Steam and any running PES processes.
2. Place setting.exe in your PES installation directory (same folder as the game .exe), unless the mod author specifies otherwise.
3. Run setting.exe as Administrator (right-click → Run as administrator).
4. In the UI, pick the target PES executable if multiple are listed.
5. Choose desired resolution, display mode, and language.
6. If applicable, set the path to your mod folder or enable loading of custom dt0 files.
7. Save/apply settings and close the tool.
8. Launch PES via the selected .exe or through Steam (depending on your setup).
