Pokémon X

This story follows the process of stabilizing on the Citra emulator by installing the essential Version 1.5 update , which resolves critical gameplay issues. The Quest for Stability

  1. In Citra, go to File → Install CIA...
  2. Select your Pokémon X base game .cia file.
  3. Then install the Update v1.5 .cia file.
  4. Citra will merge them into the virtual NAND.

Before starting the installation on Citra, ensure you have the following components:

  • Cause: You updated to v1.5 but your save was from v1.0.
  • Fix: In Citra, right-click Pokémon X in your game list > Open Save Data Location. Back up your main file. Then, load the game, let it create a new save, and then swap the files back.

Method B: Installing a .cia File (For Updates/DLC)

  1. In Citra, go to File → Install CIA.
  2. Select your dumped Pokémon X v1.5.cia update file.
  3. Wait for “Installed successfully.”
  4. Verify version on title screen (lower-right corner shows “Ver. 1.5”).
