Messenger Old Version Ipa Updated < 2026 Update >

IPA files

The official Facebook Messenger app often requires recent iOS versions, leaving users with older devices (like those on iOS 9 or 12) unable to download the latest version from the App Store. To resolve this, users typically seek older (iOS app packages) or use specific App Store workarounds. Key Methods to Obtain Older Messenger Versions

  1. Download AltStore on your PC/Mac from altstore.io.
  2. Install the AltStore Mail plug-in (Mac) or run the installer (Windows).
  3. Connect your iPhone, trust the computer, and install AltStore via iTunes Wi-Fi sync.
  4. On your iPhone, open AltStore and go to My Apps.
  5. Download your desired Messenger old version IPA (e.g., Messenger_250.0.ipa) from a source you trust.
  6. Tap the + icon in AltStore, navigate to the IPA file, and select it.
  7. Enter your Apple ID password (this is used to sign the app with a free developer certificate).
  8. Wait for installation. You’ll see Messenger on your home screen.
  9. Important: Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and trust your Apple ID as a developer profile.
  10. Open Messenger. Do not update when prompted. The app will expire in 7 days—refresh it via AltStore while on the same Wi-Fi as your PC.
