Manifesto For Prep Prefect In Shs -
Manifesto for Prep Prefect
Pillar III: The Abolition of "The Wandering Eye" (Focus Protocols)
3. Academic Support During Prep
Strict Adherence to Silence and Order
Prep cannot be effective in a noisy environment. I will work with the house prefects and staff to ensure that prep starts on time and that a zero-tolerance policy for noise is maintained. However, I will do this with fairness, ensuring every student understands that silence is a sign of respect for their neighbor’s future.
- Create a peer-tutoring board – students can sign up to help/request help in specific subjects.
- Distribute past questions or revision checklists each week (with teachers’ approval).
- 5-minute quiet check at the end of prep – write down one thing you learned & one question for tomorrow.
- Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to develop and implement effective prep time management strategies
- Establish a Prep Prefect team to support the delivery of activities and initiatives
- Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge student satisfaction and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain a communication channel (e.g., social media group or newsletter) to keep students informed about upcoming events and activities
- Organize at least two events or activities per semester to promote student engagement and motivation
