- Cold Air Intake & Headers: These modify airflow, requiring changes to the air/fuel ratio (MAF and VE tables).
- Camshaft Swaps: A performance cam changes vacuum, idle characteristics, and overlap. Without a reflash using an LS1 flash tool, the engine will stall, surge, or run dangerously lean.
- Forced Induction: Turbo or supercharger builds require completely new timing and fuel tables under boost. Without retuning, detonation will destroy pistons.
- Injectors & Fuel System: Larger injectors require updating the "injector flow rate" table; otherwise, the ECU will over-fuel dramatically.
- Connection issues: Verify that the serial connection is secure and properly configured.
- ECU compatibility: Ensure that the LS1 Flash Tool is compatible with your vehicle's ECU type.
