1. Gap the Rings: Do not install rings straight from the box. Use a feeler gauge to ensure the end gap is between 0.15mm and 0.25mm.
2. Lubricate: Apply 2-stroke oil (or assembly lube) liberally to the skirt and rings.
3. Idle Period: For the first 30 minutes, do not exceed 3,000 RPM.
4. Heat Cycles: Let the engine cool down completely after 10 minutes of running. Do this three times.
