Hollow Knight was never officially released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP)
Since it is built from the ground up for the PSP, it runs natively but lacks the full content, all the bosses, and the high-resolution art of the original game. Technical Limitations
: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/Series X|S.
The Root did not become loud again; it was not that sort of place. But light moved differently down there—less a gift and more a conversation—and the city learned to keep speaking. The lumen held its breath less and less, content to pulse in answer to the names of everyday things.
In short: The PSP is missing nearly everything. The game’s Unity engine requires far more memory, processing power, and storage. Even the PSP’s successor, the PlayStation Vita (with 512 MB RAM and 128 MB VRAM), would struggle to run Hollow Knight natively without heavy optimization.
