Legal and Safety Considerations
- The Catch: Modern Windows 10/11 PCs don't have CD drives.
- The Fix: Buy a $20 external USB CD/DVD drive on Amazon.
- The Dongle: GravoStyle 98 requires a physical parallel port (LPT) or USB dongle (HASP key). Without that little blue or black key plugged in, the software won't engrave a single letter. Do not throw that dongle away.
- Vector Drawing Tools: Native tools for creating text, boxes, circles, and complex paths.
- Toolpath Simulation: A real-time 3D simulation of the engraving bit moving across the material.
- Material Database: Pre-loaded settings for brass, plastic, aluminum, and wood.
- Dongle Protection: Physical hardware key (parallel or USB, depending on the revision) required to run.
