Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut Language Packs UPD: The Complete Guide to Downloading, Installing, and Troubleshooting
Known issues / caveats
Performance capture feels natural and fluid in every cutscene. 🌍 Global Accessibility & Variety
- Navigate to Settings > Storage > System Storage > Applications.
- Find Ghost of Tsushima.
- Look for Add-ons. Language packs appear as separate add-ons.
- If a language pack is corrupted, delete it and re-download it from the PlayStation Store (it will be free if you own the Director’s Cut).
- Switching audio language mid-save may require restarting the chapter or reloading a save to fully apply lip-sync fixes in some scenes.
- Some smaller languages may only include partial voice coverage (main mission dialogue) with additional lines remaining in default language.
- Online co-op (Legends) may require all participants to have compatible language packs to avoid audio mismatch — otherwise client-side fallback is used.
Symptom
: In the main menu (Audio tab), Japanese is selectable but greyed out. Fix : You have downloaded the pack, but the game didn’t restart to index it. Quit the game completely (close the application on PS5/PS4 or exit via launcher on PC). Reboot your console/PC. Upon relaunch, the option will turn white. ghost of tsushima directors cut language packs upd
