Default passwords are intended only for initial setup and troubleshooting. Leaving a default password active on a live security system (especially one managing video surveillance and access control) creates a severe security vulnerability.
If the default blank password does not work and you've forgotten the custom one, you must use the Genetec Server Admin tool (web-based) to reset the genetec config tool default password
