- Open the Mac App Store on your Mac.
- Click on your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Scroll down to the "Available Updates" section.
- Find GarageBand and click Update.
- If GarageBand does not appear, search for "GarageBand" in the store; if it says "Open," you are already on 10.4.8 or later. If it says "Update," click it.
Note: GarageBand 10.4.8 requires macOS Ventura 13.5 or later. It runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) via Rosetta 2 mode, but also fully supports Intel Macs from 2017 onwards.
