- You will notice the sides of the top are still open slits.
- Option A (The Traditional Tie): Do not sew the sides shut. Instead, hem the edges of the side slits. You can attach ties (strings) at the waist or under the bust to cinch the fabric closed.
- Option B (The Vent): Sew the top portion of the side seam (from the armpit down about 4-5 inches) to close the shoulder/armscye. Leave the rest open as a side vent.
- Finish neckline: stay-stitch and attach facing or collar; press.
