1. Candid: The Naturalistic Baseline

Symptom 1: The Device Won't Power On (No LEDs)

Step 1:

Open Device Manager (Right-click Start button > Device Manager). Step 2: Expand "Sound, video and game controllers" . Step 3: Look for "Castle 3 HD Video" or "Candid HD Capture." Right-click it > Properties . Step 4: Go to the Driver tab. Click Roll Back Driver (if available). If not, click Uninstall Device . Check the box: "Delete the driver software for this device." Step 5: Disconnect the Castle 3 device. Reboot your PC. Step 6: Download the legacy driver package v.2.1.8 (not the latest v.3.0) from the manufacturer’s archive. Install it manually (Run as Administrator). Step 7: Before reconnecting, open OBS / XSplit / Your Recording App as Administrator.
