If you just want a more usable Passport today, consider sticking with and using the Android Runtime 4.3 (limited but stable) instead of a buggy Lineage port.

- Keyboard: Works, but special keys (sym, $, etc.) need keylayout edits. Some ports have Passport keyboard fixes.
- Square screen (1:1): Many apps letterbox or misalign – enable “force activities to be resizable” in Developer Options.
- Calls/SMS: Works on most radios, but check APN for LTE.
- Camera: Often broken or low resolution.
- No Android security updates – unofficial port, use at your own risk.

- BlackBerry Passport (any variant) – unlocked bootloader required.
- USB cable & Windows/Linux PC.
- Sachesi / Darcy’s BlackBerry Tools or
fastboot.
- Unofficial Lineage OS 14.1 (Android 7.1) or 15.1 (Android 8.1) image – from CrackBerry forums or Telegram groups (e.g., “BlackBerry Android for Passport”).
- GApps (optional – pico/nano for ARM).
- TWRP for Passport (custom recovery).
