ArtCAM Pro 9.1 is an artistic CAD/CAM software used to transform 2D sketches or bitmaps into intricate 3D reliefs for CNC machining or 3D printing
- Select the flat background area.
- Go to Relief > Texture > Add Texture.
- Choose "Wood Grain" or "Linen." Set Strength to
5%. This adds a realistic finish without slowing down your PC.
- Select the outer rectangle vector.
- Click "Profile" .
- Choose a 1/4" End Mill.
- Select "Outside" (cutting on the outside of the vector).
- Set Depth:
0.75 inches (all the way through your material).
- Add Tabs: Click "Edit Tabs" – add 4 tabs to hold the sign in place while cutting.
- Calculate. You now have a 2D cutout path.
- Add: Adds material (places object A on top of object B).
- Subtract: Carves out material.
- Merge High / Merge Low: Merges the two shapes smoothly.
Simulate Toolpaths:
