Annabelle 1 Best Page

Annabelle (2014) is a serviceably spooky, if somewhat formulaic, prequel to The Conjuring that provides a solid "popcorn horror" experience without reinventing the genre. While it lacks the emotional depth of its predecessor, it succeeds in creating several standout, nightmare-inducing sequences.

And just like that, a blood pact is sealed. The cultist’s spirit (a devotee of a demon named "The Malthusian") isn't interested in the living. It wants a soul. And it sets its sights on Mia’s newborn daughter. Annabelle 1

  • The final scene directly mirroring the opening of The Conjuring, where the Warrens explain to a nurse that the doll is "just a vessel."
