The leader of the thieves, known as the Chief of the 40, suspects someone else knows the secret. He tracks down Alibaba. But with the help of Margiana (Morgiana), a clever slave girl in Kasim’s household, Alibaba outwits the thieves. Margiana pours boiling oil into the jars where the thieves hide, killing them. The film ends with Alibaba marrying Margiana, and the treasure being used for the good of the people.
